The Double Seven

Expansion of the Double Seven has brought rancher Git Baskin into a bitter dispute with neighboring homesteaders, and Baskin makes matters worse by hiring gunman Clint Sutton after cattle begin disappearing. Britt discovers that one of the farmers, Ruth, has deliberately been stealing cattle and stirring up violence because he wants Baskin to burn the settlers out. Years earlier another large rancher destroyed Ruth's Texas farm and his wife Nancy died in the fire, leaving him obsessed with recreating the conflict and taking revenge on any rancher who resembles his old enemy. Britt stops the plot, while Baskin agrees to drop the cattle grievance and get rid of Sutton.
