Gene investigates the water rights and learns that a recent flood shifted the river channel onto state land, giving him a legal way to defeat the attempted water monopoly. He secures the state-land position and has the obstruction blown up, restoring the creek to the valley, before the broadcast returns to music and the closing signoff.
