Suspicious farmer J. F. Mauna hates the local Snake Doctor and eventually tries to steal the healer's hidden savings. Reaching into the hiding place, Mauna believes a cottonmouth has bitten him and dies in terror, but the supposed snake is stuffed and the punctures came from barbed wire, leaving his weak heart and fear as the real causes of death.
