Forty-two-year-old Kent Lewis has lost his clothing business, cannot find work and has begun to believe everyone who tells him he is already old and finished. Dr. Christian pairs him with energetic seventy-year-old Grandma Nelson, whose appetite for hiking, exploring and adventure makes Kent feel young again and restores the confidence his business failure destroyed. Grandma's worried grandson Ted accuses the doctor of pushing her too hard, but she insists that age is largely a state of mind. The lesson becomes more complicated when Grandma returns alone to an abandoned house she wants to explore, falls asleep after lighting a fire and must be rescued when the house catches fire. Kent proves he is far from finished by helping save her, while Grandma admits that feeling young does not mean ignoring every physical limit.
