Kennedy tracks fugitive Arthur Matson to a remote island believing Matson stole a fortune and must be dealt with for Laura. Matson reveals that Laura has controlled the money all along and manipulated Kennedy into becoming her killer, forcing all three into a violent final confrontation when Laura arrives with a gun.
