Rink Larkin

Eleven-year-old Rink Larkin runs away after his outlaw father is killed by the sheriff, convinced the lawman murdered the only man who had ever been good to him. Rink steals a revolver and lays an obvious trail, intending to lure the sheriff out and take revenge. Britt follows, hoping to stop the boy before grief turns him into his father, and a confrontation with another armed fugitive forces Rink to hear what really happened. When the gunman threatens Britt and the sheriff, Rink shoots him and finally abandons his revenge, later beginning to miss the aunt he had run away from.
