Helen Bricker

Helen Bricker returns to Yellow Crest after years with outlaw Billy Stark and finds that even her father still judges her for choosing him. Britt learns that Helen had stayed with Billy largely out of pride after ignoring her father's warnings, even while she came to hate what he had become. The final secret is that Helen herself tipped the law to Billy's whereabouts, bringing about his capture, but she refuses to use that fact to win back anyone's approval. Britt respects her wish to keep the truth private and leaves Helen to rebuild her life on her own terms.
