Jim Hardy leaves show business to create Holiday Inn, a country nightclub open only on holidays, and falls in love with singer Linda. His former partner Ted and a Hollywood director lure Linda toward a screen career, and Jim's jealousy and retreat leave her believing he no longer cares; she reluctantly agrees to marry Ted at Christmas. Jim reaches the studio before the wedding, admits he never stopped loving her and brings Linda home to Holiday Inn while Ted finally steps aside.
