A Mercury Theatre anthology presenting three separate short stories. Sherwood Anderson's I'm a Fool follows a young racetrack worker who invents a false identity to impress a girl and later regrets that the lie ruined his chance to know her honestly. Saki's The Open Window centers on a nervous visitor whom young Vera convinces that men returning toward an open window are ghosts, sending him fleeing when the very-much-alive men appear. Carl Ewald's My Little Boy is an affectionate and comic meditation by a father observing his independent, mischievous son and resolving to help him discover moral truths for himself rather than simply accept what adults teach him.
