At the Zebra lodge’s New Year’s Eve meeting, Mel stages a comic pageant reviewing the events of 1946 before the members elect their Zebra of the Year. Every member initially votes for himself, but a stray ballot breaks the tie in Mr. Colby’s favor and makes him the lodge’s newly honored Zebra.
