Mr. Colby enters Mel in a strength contest against district manager Lionel Owens and secretly orders Mel to lose so Owens will remain confident in his job. Uncle Rupert and Zookie unknowingly rig the meter so Mel wins spectacularly, forcing Mel to reverse the trick and restore Owens’s confidence before Colby is promoted into the punishing job he was trying to avoid.
