Paroled gangster Sonny Braggio terrorizes Ted Roberts, the citizen whose testimony sent him to prison, by sending ominous funeral sprays and keeping the Roberts family in fear. Britt also suspects parole-board official Everett Dean accepted a payoff; the Hornet engineers a meeting that puts Braggio, Dean and a jailed gang member together, exposes Dean with Braggio's marked bribe money and sends Braggio back to custody.
