A mysterious explosion at the Redding munitions plant is traced not to machinery but to specially treated newspaper copies that burst into flame after they dry. A newsboy has unknowingly been distributing the sabotaged editions, leading the Green Hornet back to the enemy laboratory that prepared them. He frees the boy and leaves the agents, chemicals and treated papers for police.
