John DeMargo recruits young men for South American jobs and secretly insures them, then arranges fatal plane disasters so he can collect. After two crashes he plans a third under cover of the 'rule of three'; the Hornet turns one accomplice, removes the bomb and puts DeMargo aboard the intended flight, where the scheme collapses and police are waiting.
