Melody Ranch – Bloom Is on the Sage 1

Gene opens with 'When the Bloom Is on the Sage' and the broadcast mixes songs and ranch comedy with a domestic mix-up that begins when an old friend asks Gene to look after his sister Sally. The ranch hands eagerly expect a young woman, but the arrival instead involves a baby and turns the household upside down with arguments over who should care for the child and a later visit from relatives. The confusion is eventually straightened out, and a fresh telephone request to take care of another friend's sister produces an immediate comic refusal before the musical close.
