Navy flyer Brady and his crew are stranded on a Pacific island and discover a hidden underground society of humans who represent a far more advanced stage of evolution. Their hosts calmly explain that they intend to take control of the world as humanity's superior guardians; Brady escapes on a life raft to warn everyone, only to be judged insane by a doctor who is himself revealed to be one of the conquerors.
