Windy Smith's lifelong habit of telling outrageous stories makes him the easy suspect when money disappears from Clem Duke's store. Windy answers the accusation with an even wilder tale about armed gangsters, while Clem insists he must be guilty. Dr. Christian quietly turns the matter around with supposed truth pills that are nothing but sugar. Believing the medicine has forced honesty on him, Clem confesses that he took the money himself, lost it playing poker and blamed Windy because he was afraid to face his wife. Windy, who swallowed the same harmless pill, immediately launches into another impossible bandit story, proving that some habits are stronger than any imaginary cure.
