The three-part milk-racket story reaches its conclusion with Dr. Christian kidnapped by the men behind the Farmers Protective Organization so he cannot testify in Bob Marvin’s murder trial. While he is being held in a secluded house, one of the gang, Charles Moran, arrives badly wounded after violence involving a milk truck. Dr. Christian refuses to treat the injury as a simple patch-up and insists that Moran needs hospital care to survive. His captors finally allow him to take the wounded man in, costing Dr. Christian his chance to appear at the trial, but Bob is acquitted anyway when the prosecution cannot prove he was driving the truck connected with the killing. After Dr. Christian saves Moran’s life, Moran repays him with a sworn confession describing the racket and identifying the people behind it. Dr. Christian then confronts the powerful attorney Mr. Clark, whose public defense of Bob had hidden his own connection to the organization. Clark destroys only a copy of Moran’s statement before learning that the original is already with the district attorney. An officer waiting nearby arrests him, ending the racket and vindicating Dr. Christian’s suspicions.
