Cattle king Barney Rankin tries to destroy smaller rancher John Sawyer for competing for railroad space, first having Sawyer and Ed Beale beaten and then ordering gunman Mose Dillon to uncouple Sawyer's loaded cattle car on a grade; Cisco and Pancho race to stop the runaway car before it collides with an express train, then bring Rankin and his men to justice for assault and attempted murder.
