Jenny

Britt carries a wounded stranger to the isolated cabin of Jenny Garver, a lonely woman who has spent years being mocked for her appearance and awkwardness. The man proves to be a wanted killer, but Jenny refuses to give him up because, for the first time, someone seems to need her; when the sheriff's posse surrounds the cabin, she even fires to protect him. The fugitive finally dies from his wounds, ending the standoff. Afterward the town notices that Jenny carries herself with a new confidence, as though the brief experience of being needed has changed the way she sees herself.
