The Red Mill

Two comic American adventurers become entangled in a Dutch burgomaster's plans to marry his daughter to a politically useful match even though she loves another man. A scheme involving an impersonation of Sherlock Holmes, a supposedly haunted red mill and a frantic search for the missing girl gives the young lovers time to act. When the burgomaster finally finds his daughter, she calmly announces that the wedding he planned is impossible because she has already married the man she loves. With the romance settled, the Americans turn their thoughts back toward home.

The cast includes Gordon MacRae, Lucille Norman, Gene Kelly, Norman Luboff, and Bill Demling. Other credited names include Jerome Lawrence as radio adaptor, Robert E.
