A dramatization of War Below Zero follows American servicemen assigned to isolated weather stations on Greenland's ice cap. Their enemy is primarily cold, blizzards, loneliness and the strain of maintaining weather reports despite months without confirmation that their transmissions are being received. The men continue their work, assist after a bomber crashes in their remote area and eventually learn that their reports did reach command and helped support Allied operations, earning praise before they rotate home for rest.
