This July 1946 Fitch Bandwagon audition presents Phil Harris and Alice Faye in the prototype format that developed into their radio sitcom. The program combines songs, sponsor material and domestic comedy, with Harris's boastful show-business persona, Alice's reactions and a running sketch in which Phil's made-up story about a hospital patient forces Alice into an increasingly absurd telephone impersonation before the couple closes the broadcast together.
