Imprisoned detective Oliver Perry sends racketeer Jack Bartow after Linda Travis in hopes of forcing her to reveal the Green Hornet's identity. Linda is killed during the botched abduction and the gang arranges a false hit-and-run confession, then seizes Lenore Case when she follows the cover-up; the Hornet breaks the gang's trap, rescues Lenore and exposes Perry's role behind the plot.
