Swindle at Steamboat Springs

Episode Guide

About This Broadcast

Two confidence men arrive in booming Steamboat Springs with a cheap stage-prop helmet they claim was worn by Hernando Cortes, planning to manipulate a merchant into buying it through a fake outside bidder. Cisco recognizes the swindle, uses the Spanish paper hidden in the helmet to reverse their trick, and sends the pair out of the territory poorer than they arrived.

This The Cisco Kid broadcast aired on February 26, 1957. Mutual Broadcasting System carried the broadcast. The cast includes Jack Mather and Harry Lang.

The surviving recording runs about 25 minutes.

Cisco and Pancho ride the Southwest confronting outlaws and helping people in trouble, represented here mainly by the Jack Mather and Harry Lang syndicated run plus a rare earlier network broadcast.
