Prospector Fred Gates discovers a rich strike and offers to share it with fugitive Harold Alpine, who shoots him and leaves him for dead; Cisco secretly saves Fred and uses the supposed death to trap Alpine and murderous blacksmith Jory Goodell, whose own past crimes are also exposed.
