Tom Barton, known as the Baron of the Badlands, runs an isolated sanctuary where wanted criminals buy protection by surrendering their stolen money. When bank robber Jip Travers and his wife Nell hide part of their haul and try to use Cisco as protection from Barton, Cisco follows the deception back to the Badlands and helps bring the Baron, Travers, and Nell under the law.
