Gene opens with 'I've Got Spurs' before the program moves into a western mystery in which he is framed for the shooting death of Art Richards. A gun connected to Gene and an earlier boundary dispute make him the obvious suspect, but a sympathetic sheriff gives him a chance to investigate; at Richards's ranch Gene finds a torn railroad ticket showing that Art's brother Sam had secretly traveled from Rock Springs just before the killing. Gene then uses Art's personal effects in a bluff that makes Sam reveal knowledge only the killer should possess, leading to Sam's confession and Gene's exoneration. Music and a requested western number for a serviceman in Japan round out the broadcast.
