A ship doctor is summoned to a schooner after wealthy aviation magnate Joseph Ingram is shot, only to discover that Ingram has exploited reports of his own death to disappear with a two-million-dollar bank draft. Felix and secretary Stephanie scheme around the wounded man, Felix is lost overboard, and Ingram kills Stephanie before dying himself. When the doctor reaches the bank with the draft, Ingram's wife appears and accuses him, leaving him trapped as the apparent survivor of a triple murder.
