Flyer Come Home (aka with Your Wings, Mrs James and the Pot of Tea)

A wartime anthology built around the human meaning of aviation. One section follows Mrs. James waiting through the night for her husband's overdue bomber while an RAF rigger talks with her about endurance, shared effort and the ordinary comforts people work to protect. A later section dramatizes a Black military pilot returning home in uniform, where his father tells him that every Black man in the world will fly with his wings, turning his achievement into a symbol larger than himself.
